CODED WELDING TRAINING

ASME SECTION IX

SMAW | GTAW | GMAW/MIG

VERIFICATION OF COMPETENCY

ELIXON 7 delivers Coded Welding Training & Testing aligned with AS/NZS 1554.1, and ASME IX, ensuring our candidates are fully prepared to meet and exceed industry code requirements for high-pressure, high-risk environments.

Our program focuses on structural, pressure piping, and process equipment welds across carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, Inconel, and other critical alloys commonly used in gas pipelines, high pressure systems, and process infrastructure.

Technical Training Includes:

  • Code-based weld preparation (AS/NZS 1554.1 GP & SP, ASME IX)

  • SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW/MIG processes in all positions (1G–6G)

  • Weld procedure familiarity (WPS, PQR, WPQ)

  • Exposure to NDT acceptance criteria (RT, UT, PT, MT)

Delivered by field-experienced trainers and coded welders, ELIXON 7 helps contractors, supervisors, and frontline boilermakers gain the qualifications needed for shutdowns, new construction, and project compliance.

WELDING BAYS

Each bay is fitted with welding machines capable of SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW processes, with dedicated ventilation systems and fume extraction for safety and compliance.

We provide adjustable positioners, purge setups for stainless and duplex materials, and access to preheat/post-weld heat treatment tools where required. Bays are designed to accommodate pipe and plate configurations for all-position weld testing (1G to 6G), allowing candidates to train and certify under realistic constraints, including vertical-up and overhead scenarios common in shutdown and construction environments.

Welding Bays

GROUP TRAINING

With a modular layout of multiple fully equipped bays, our facility supports simultaneous training and assessment of up to 10 candidates, making it ideal for workforce onboarding, upskilling programs, or pre-shutdown competency refreshers.

Each bay is spaced to allow clear visibility and safe supervision, enabling our instructors and assessors to provide real-time feedback and correction without interrupting the workflow. This setup enhances learning retention and weld quality while maintaining momentum during intensive training blocks.

QUICK TURNAROUND & FLEXIBILITY

Whether you need to fast-track your team’s qualifications to meet an impending project deadline or have welders ready for testing as soon as possible, we can adapt to your needs. With quick scheduling and dedicated testing sessions, you can ensure that your welders are qualified and ready for the field without unnecessary delays.

CODED WELD QUALIFICATION TESTING

At Elixon 7, we offer access to our professional facilities for coded metal weld qualification testing, supporting fabricators, contractors, and project teams across a wide range of industries. Whether your project demands qualifications aligned with structural, pressure, or high-integrity fabrication standards, our setup is equipped to accommodate your specific testing procedures and technical requirements.

Working alongside NATA-accredited non-destructive testing (NDT) partners, Elixon 7 ensures that all test pieces can be independently verified, giving your project teams access to trusted, third-party inspection as part of the qualification process.

  • Purpose-Built Testing Environment: Our facilities are set up to support a variety of weld qualification procedures based on your project specifications.
  • Independent Validation: All test results can be reviewed and verified by our NATA-accredited third-party NDT partners.
  • Professional Documentation: Clients receive detailed Welder Qualification Records (WQRs) and associated documentation suitable for internal QA or client submission.

Whether you’re qualifying welders for a specific contract, verifying procedures for a new project, or seeking a reliable facility to carry out controlled weld testing, Elixon 7 provides a practical, standards-ready environment backed by expert verification.

Support & Supervision

Support & Supervision: Every training session is supervised by industry-certified trainers with extensive field experience. This ensures that each welder not only learns the technical skills required but also receives real-time feedback and guidance, improving their proficiency on the spot.

Pipe & Plate

Pipe and plate welder qualification testing (WQT), ensuring your team meets the demands of the mining, oil & gas industries

Non Destructive Testing

We align our welder qualification pathways with NATA-accredited Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) partners to ensure welds are evaluated to Australian and international standards.
